carlingford

Hi! I think I speak for everyone in ty when I say that carlingford was BRILLIANT!
We arrived at carlingford adventure centre ,Louth on Monday morning. Everyone was very excited about what our trip would involve. First we were split into groups and were introduced to all the instructors.Then we got stuck into our first activity.The actvity was the crystal challange.The challanges were all about team work and bonding.Our team was awarded with crystals if we completed each challange.It was great fun even though the crystals were only plastic(unfortunatly!).After this we all trailed back to the centre for a well desirved lunch of chips and sausages.
When we finished eating our lunch we set of to our next activity.For this activity we had to dress in camuflauge overalls like soldiers.We had to climb up the really steep hill to a forest. Then we were split into two teams, red and blue.I was on the blue team.We were each given laser guns and had to come up with a game plan to defeat the reds. It was great fun!
When we got back to the centre we were given our rooms and had our dinner.Later we all trailed back up the hill for night line.We had to wear blindfolds and hold on to the person in fronts shoulder while we walked along a rope tied onto trees in the forest.It was was a good activity as we learnt good communication skills.          
     when we got back to the house we had a bit of a sing song with another school.The boys school had a rap off and in my opinion Mrs.L won with her rap which blew us all away.One of the instructors brought us out to the volley ball court to amaze us with his fire tricks, it was really cool.Shortly after this we all set of to bed, but there wasn't much sleep going on as we were chatting for ages.
           The next day everyone was sad to think that it would be all over soon, but here was still two more activities to go.The first activity we had to do was orienteering up the steepest hill I have ever walked! My team game very last! In the middle of orienteering we did archery which was great fun.
        After lunch we went rock climbing.It was both scary and fun!I got to the top of the climb twice. While we were waiting to go Brona got up and entertained us all by singing some Justin Beiber songs
      when we got back to the centre we collected our bags and got ready to go on the bus home. Everyone was sad to leave. I had such a great time I wish we could have stayed for longer!
