hello im Kandeshie from Namibia!!
In religion we have been learning about gender equality. Gender equality is one of the millennium goals.Yesterday we played a game in the hall to show the difference between girls in first world and in the third world. Everyone got a sheet of paper with a description of who they were they were supposed to be.I was a girl called kandeshie who lived in Namibia. You had yo take a step when our teacher called out a statement that applied to your person. For example "you will have a chance to attend college" or "You have freedom to wear what you want". if these did not apply to your person you weren't aloud to move. When the game was over half of our class was at the top of the hall and the other half was at the back. This showed how their was a difference between the life's of girls in different parts of the world.

Wow. This sounds like a powerful lesson. What did you think of it? I would love to have a copy of your teacher's lesson plan for this. Will you please tell her for me? :) (Thanks!)
ReplyDeleteI thought it was very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI can ask my teacher when I get back to school on Monday to see if she could send it to.
Thanks!
